How to Use ‘Boring’ Journals To Bring In New Patients

I was reviewing an issue of the AGD Impact.

I found a neat little article on page 9 under “Health Briefs.”

“Cavity Update Ÿ The US Preventive Services Task Force revealed recently that dental cavities affect as many as 19 percent of children ages 2 to 5 and more than 50 percent of those age 5 to 9.”

What does this mean? If you see kids and you want to attract the parents from seeing the kids, this makes great material for a headline, does it not?

“ENSURE THE HEALTHY & SAFETY OF YOUR CHILD:

Preventive Dentistry Your Best Option?”

Dear Friend & Neighbor,

According to the US Preventive Services Task Force, “dental cavities affect as many as 19 percent of children ages 2 to 5 and more than 50 percent of those age 5 to 9.”

Here at SofTouch Family Dental Group, we do our best to ensure our patients never even GET a cavity….

You get the drift. This is scare tactics, yes, but I read one time that the only way to sell funeral insurance was to get the prospect to VISUALIZE the hearse pulling up to the door.
